It's not pronounced "nos"
The proper terminology is
Nitrous
Oxide
System
Which is the name of the company (now owned by Holley).
If you call it "nos" you are immediately regarded as an idiot, and is why "NOS" is on this page.
It is actually called "Nitrous", "Nitrous Oxide" or "N2O"
